STEVEN BELLEMARE

Dr. Bellemare completed his medical training at the University of Ottawa, and his residency in pediatrics at the University of Alberta. Having specialized in child maltreatment pediatrics, he was assistant professor at Dalhousie University and worked as a member of the child protection team at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax before joining the CMPA in 2009. Now the senior physician advisor with the department of Practice Improvement, he received the designation of Certified Physician Executive from the Certifying Commission in Medical Management in 2016. Since joining the CMPA, he has facilitated several hundred educational sessions for medical audiences across the country.
